Meeting Snigdha Haff: Lead Photographer

I’ve been photographing for 30+ years. I have learned and photographed with film and digital cameras. Our first home in Kansas City had a darkroom in the basement and it was such a wonderful find.
Photography has always been my escape subject during my university years; one can be in a chemistry lab for so long, before realizing a product could not be created yet, and have hours of work still left to write up a lab report.
I was in the first group to receive Humanities of Medicine minor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. As I continued on with my studies and got a Masters in Physical Therapy; I realized the arts play a huge role in our mental, and physical health. The fine arts always ground a person thru music, art collections, and the theater; giving us a chance to express our complicated emotions at different stages as we dodge the curveballs that life throws us.
With Photography I have an excuse to travel. During my college years, I traveled to various cities in China, India, and Hong Kong. I have continued to travel with my best friend and husband. We have traveled within the United States to 28 states and have traveled internationally to explore Vancouver, Canada; Rome, Italy; Vatican City; Paris, France; Nice, France; and Monte Carlo, Monaco. We always look forward to a soiree with friends. I think we gave the traveling bug to our kids. We visited Yellowstone the year it was celebrating its 200th birthday. We had such a memorable trip our oldest suggested we should visit all the national parks; we accepted the challenge! So far, we visit 15 National Park in the States as a family.
I have an excuse to be a foodie. Once we decide on a destination as a family, our next search is to find all the best, unique restaurants, bakeries, and shops to explore. So, if you have a special restaurant, coffee shop, or ice cream parlor, let’s include them in your story.

I'm a fun-loving, optimistic who is always ready for an adventure.

Willing to learn and guide my kids in their many interests from Pokémon-Go to the latest Halo game to even attempting to make a perfect bûche de Noël (Yule log) with puffed mushrooms.  I am passionate about getting to know new friends and realizing how wonderful it is that no matter where we grow up in the world family, friends unite us with laughter and love.  I feel privileged that you took the time to learn a little about me and want me to capture your story through my art of photography.
I like to have a quiet night at home; staying up late.
Random TV shows; right now I am watching “Fringe” which aired in 2008.
Traveling, visiting friends, eating, and hiking.
I went white water rafting in Vancouver, Canada with my husband, Michael exactly one year after we said “I do”.
Hardworking, loyal, charismatic, and optimist; with a camera always in hand.
My goal as your photographer, my goal is to build a relationship that can continue to grow, that you are relaxed and confident that I am preserving your memories and they are in capable hands. I am going to capture your unique story, preserve your special moment, and evoke your emotions every time you share or stumble upon the images. I try to capture classical poses and candid shots. These images can stand on their own, ready to become memorable with your voice as you share with your loved ones. My hope as you pull out your album, the images can remind you of the funny story, behind the emotion of the scenes so future generations know about their loved ones who they have not met but are fully aware of their love for their family and wonder maybe that is where they got their curly hair, share a similar smirk or have a birthmark on their cheek.
